Any suggestions on a more cost effective way to ship this? I suspect
the person got an air shipping quote and not something slower but less
expensive.
You might check out direct airport to airport. We have shipped
electronics by delivering it to the airport freight people for the
airline. I think we were using Lufthansa which as a direct flight from
PDX to Germany, Frankfurt. It cost about half of what normall shipping
cost.
Is there anyone that flys from London to anyplace near you? check and
see if that airline has airport to airport freight. That would
probably be your cheapest.
Shipping to and from from the United Kingdom is very expensifve.
