On the whole price debate.... given the condition these systems are in - they
are fairly worthless. Scrap value at best. In moderate or fully restored
condition, they are worth a lot. But the current owner needs to understand
that someone is going to spend 10 times his asking price getting them
restored and as such, he can't ask more than scrap for them.

You see the same issues with collectible cars and motor cycles. Generally whilst it might
be fun, and even mentally rewarding, to restore such an item, it will almost always be
financially unrewarding. The cost of materials alone out weights the any increase in
value. As for this pile of junk, I wonder if some crowd funding to restore and run this
might be successful.
