BTW, the two things I've found that if you have a "broken VT-240", the
most likely items that need replacing are the 9636/9637 EIA
interface chips (they aren't the more common 1488/1489), and
the power switch. Fortunately, the hole for the switch is an ordinary
size, so functional, not cosmetic, replacements are easy to come
by.
