a program that does a simple array-based look-up. Assuming the
Flex-o-writer uses EBCIDC, here's a chart that might be handy

FWIW, it is NOT EBCIDC (sic), and has upper/lower case
state which
has to be remembered.
Is there a name commonly used for that code?
