OK, let's talk failures ;) If you've got any
links which give a sensible
description of how a switcher works, I'd be most grateful.
I don;'t know of any useful on-line info. There's a pretty poor article
in this month's Elektor magazine (which might give you some idea), and
there's a reasonable description in the _second edition_ of The Art of
Electronics (a book which you ought to have anyway...)
