We have the same problem now, throw out
functions that don't work to get
product shipped. The bugs like Fred saw should have a way to be
identified somehow and get the problem fixed or not shipped. It isn't
an easy problem to deal with.
It's always scary when well tested bits are pulled for "better"
solutions at the last minute too.
