You can swindle a person either way, and that's what it seems buyer #2 did.
McGuire also explained a useful "mirror test". If that doesn't work for
you (i.e. you can eat a live baby, invade Iraq, etc, and still wink at
yourself in the mirror, hey good-lookin'), then try "can I explain this
day's work in full to my mother."
