It almost looks as if one could machine something up with some flat
bar and some standoffs. Well, there's always Velcro(tm)...
This reminds me of the catches used on the rackmount door of HP
storage arrays. Nice metal construction, except for the springy part
of the catch itself, which is plastic. Bump it the wrong way and
it's toast. Strange considering that the back door of an HP rack
uses a magnetic catch.
