what OS you're running.
If you have a Mac, then you can get Adobe Reader for it. For just reading, I find FOSS viewers fine.
Indeed, I am really curious as to which PDFs cannot be read by Preview
(Mac) or xpdf (X).? Could the OP please provide a link?
