Forging an Apple 1 would certainly be possible, but quite difficult.

There are pictures, part lists, etc out there for what are basically simple
make it in your garage type stuff. The early software collectors (old games)
have issues with people making fakes for items that sell for only hundreds
of dollars. I can't think of ANY hobby where fakes didn't come out when
items started to be worth some money (stamps, coins, baseball cards, etc).
