I have to
second that.. they get stuck. The RD54's, albeit noisy
beasts, still go here, or, at least, most of them.

Unless you use Wolfgang Moeller's modified ROMs -
then I believe
that SCSI will work. (IIRC the modified VS/UV2K ROMs also
incoroporate the >1GB fix ... but it's been a long time since
I looked).
Given the DMA structure of the VS2000 SCSI port, connecting disks
to that port will be dramatically slow.
