This is perhaps why I've not nuked anything else
on our test
VAXen when I've been sorting out RA7x disks with an un-modded
KDA50. It was only last week that I discovered I'm supposed to
remove the 2 grant 'jumpers' before installing in a Q22/CD
backplane. Fortunately it seems like I've not nuked the card
that was downstream of the KDA50 in this case :)
My KDA50 was always last on the bus - in fact it was always
in the very left hand slots in a BA21x cabinet ... saved
having to scrounge load boards from somewhere!
It was usually a DHV11 or similar that I had to worry about.
Thinking about it, I did have a KDA50 in a BA23 - there
obviously the straps had to be in - although my main concerns
were not setting the PSU on fire and having enough space
internally to house the SDI leads out to the cab kit!!
