Are you sure about the removable-caps thing? I have 4 of Unicomp keyboards,
and all of them have keytops that are in two parts (i.e, stem and cap).
They may have changed recently (or since 2006, anyway - my newest Unicomp
keyboards were manufactured in 2006).

production, after the
PS/2 it seemed that IBM switched to keyboards of a
poorer design, and I had thought that the production of these keyboards
just went away. I see they are still even making APL keytops.
