I'm a litte embarrassed to confess this...
Why? Fry's used to be a good place to get good electronics and
components. So did Radio Shack, though never to the same level.
I find that the size of a chain is generally inversely proportional
to its quality, though I'm not sure if the causal relationship is
quite as cut-and-dry as it seems.
I think in the case of Fry's, they got in trouble when they
stopped being Radio Shack (of old) and tried to be CompUSA.
Joining the race to the bottom can rot a store's soul.
