Nope. There are a bunch of machines made by Groupe Bull that run a
customized AIX.
I thought those were rebadged RS/6000s, though (that were otherwise bog
standard designs). If not, what's the difference?
Mostly onboard peripherals. And chipset stuff. The machine is
different enough to require a customized OS image.
(For the curious, the ANSes are just funky Power Macs,
distant relatives
of the 9500.)
But, the PReP RS/6000's aren't all that different from a Mac. Hell, the
CHRP RS/6000's aren't unrecognizable to a Mac OS hacker.
