Sorry, forgot to add, you should pull it off AS FAST AS POSSIBLE to pull
your arm away from the charge that may arc from it.
If you can pull that connecotr off faster than the arc developing to your
fingers, there's probably a world record waiting for you in some sport
or other....
In any case, ripping it off is likely to damage either the CRT or the
connector, or both.
