Ahem. Yes... Typing to quickly for my brain again, I'm afraid.
Now, if half of that goes open-circut (dead diode, bad
connection, etc)
the machine will most likely still work, but the stray field from the
transformer will increase. It's worth checking this...
I will have a poke around with my multimeter tomorrow...
