Last time I had to do this kind of work, I used cdrdao for Linux. Not sure
where that software is these days, in terms of development / support - but
at the time, it was about the best for the job.
Example, it was about the only Linux software that could correctly write
backups of Sega DC GD-ROM discs.. seems similar to the old Discjuggler
software for Windows, it uses a similar bin/cue format.
