I take is the "dump" comment means the VAX is running Unix? My
preferred method for imaging TK50's is to use VMSTPC under VMS, or
TPC under RSX-11. My second choice would be to create a Virtual tape
under RSX-11M+, but most people wouldn't be able to access those. I
honestly have no idea how to best do a tape under Unix, as I always
use VMS. I believe there are a couple tools available at the SIMH
site for doing this on Unix, the standard Unix tools won't work (I'm
not sure what would happen if you tried to use 'dd' under Unix, I do
use 'dd' for PDP-11 SCSI HD's.
