Robbie the robot (Forbidden Planet, 3 or 4 eps
of Lost In Space 60's tv series, background in
Gremlins 1 (or 2?) and even in a Columbo film
from the 70's!), Gort (Day The Earth Stood
Still), Maximillion (The Black Hole) and more
modern robot's such as Robocop, ED-209 and
Caine (all from the Robocop films), plus the
T-1000 (Terminator), are much better designed
to be menacing and/or cool looking.
Are you sure you're not talking about the T-800? The T-1000 is the
liquid-metal jobbie.
