VC has a chat room? Never used it--and I've been a member for a long
time.
Try the regular forum. P1 is about as late as they "officially" go,
but there's an off-topic thread also.
(I have several systems running Win98SE, myself. Good underlying DOS
and Windows when you need it. All boot into DOS--and only enter
Windows when the "win" command is used. The "unofficial" SP2 is
worth
getting, IMOHO.
