Well, I honestly don't know why the audio crowd
doesn't use 3/4x12"
copper bus bar and be done with it.
The answer is easy. It's a lot like the difference between
single-mode and multi-mode fiber. With a conductor that
large, there are multiple paths that the signal can take from
the amp to the transducer. Because some paths are longer
than others, different parts of the signal are delayed by different
amounts, thus muddying the aural image.
