What was DEC's marketing policy? Add NOTHING!
What was DEC's hardware policy? Add NOTHING!
This reminds me of that comment 'We got nothing from the Arabs'. It's
true in the sense that what we got from them was the concept of zero --
'Nothing' -- and thus a positional number system notation. A major
advance IMHO.
