    I have a WORKABLE and PLEASURE TO USE copy of windows
XP. 
 How did you get it out of reverse video?   Mono display and a little
inverter on the video signal? :-)  (I'm
 actually curious as to how that'd look, now) 
Horrible, I expect.  I've usd the software equivalent in two contexts,
and it was horrible each time.  (One was on Lisp Machines back in the
'80s, with 1bpp displays; the other was relatively recently, on a
Macbook I was flirting with for a few days.)
