That was when you could get away with free phone calls by messing with the
line voltage. It doesn't apply any more today, and besides, nobody left
in the phone companies after the 90s downsizing and early retirement
movements knows anything. They're all a bunch of nincompoops. Some might
not even know that 240v was NOT a normal line voltage.
