Since that time, I believe I have fixed the LEDs issue, but can verify.

One advantage of my unit is that all configuration is done via the PS/2
keyboard (Ctrl-Alt-BS puts the unit in programming mode). As well, it
has parallel output as well as serial.
If demand warrants, I can create a USB version.
