Sometimes, it is easier, and much less intimidating to modify something
existing into what you want, rather than face the daunting task of
designing from scratch. It takes time, and experience, to build the
confidence to know that you CAN start from scratch. You probably gave
some "developing" programmer much needed practice and experience. But,
let's hope that now he can build from scratch!
