[Museums preserving for the future]
The aspiration is worthwhile, isn't it? I don't think all museums act in
line with it, though (as I posted about).
Not when it becomes
Now : We can't run this machine becuase it might get damaged and we won't
ahve it for the fuuture
Now + 50 years : We can't run that machine, it is even more fagile nowm,
and we have to keep it for the future
Now + 100 years : Ditto
Now + 200 ywars : We can't run that machine, some part has failed and
there is no way we could get or make a replaciement.
I guess that's fiar i nthat nobody gets to see the machine running, but
it does seem like hte wrong answer...
