Well, yes and no, I think. The 80186 has a unique interrupt controller,
timer and serial I/O facility. The Hornet looks like these were replaced
with more conventional functional blocks (e.g., instead of the 80186 timer,
Intel placed a 8254 compatible unit). I'd say that it's an 80186 only in
the sense that it has the same instruction set and basic CPU control. But
the peripherals are another story.
