Not really. The replacement of one expensive, failure-prone
mechanical part with a cheap-and-getting-cheaper silicon part is almost
always a good thing.
I am not convinced, given that the mechancial swtich is easy to test and
easy to rpelace if it's failed. Unlike a custom silicon device. OK, I am
strange, but I nearly always favour the simple solution.
