Does anyone on this list, preferably close to the
Boston area, have
the ability to read TOPS-10 9 track magtapes? I have a friend with a
few tapes from which he'd like to extract the contents.
All you need is someone who can image the tapes for you.
With those you can use the following to extract the contents:
For TOPS-10 BACKUP tapes:
ftp://ftp.ultimate.com/pdp10/backup10.tar.gz
For TOPS-20 DUMPER tapes:
ftp://ftp.ultimate.com/pdp10/read20.tar.gz
TOPS-20 "archive" tapes can be handled by
ftp://ftp.ultimate.com/pdp10/r20-rutgers.tar.gz
