Every microwave oven has a tube in it.
If you need more than a few kilowatts of power, especially at UHF or
above, you're probably going to be using tubes. Those might be plain
old 4CX15,000s, or -- for a megawatt or so at microwave frequencies --
6 foot tall klystrons.
