Thanks for the advice, I have a couple of higher end machines, thought
it would be fun to see what could be done with a lower end system.
Doing this on the cheap to show what can be done, about $15 including
monitor so far, only freebies was the ram. Should say the harddrive was
free also, pulled out of a junkyard pickup, but I could have used the
original 500MB with about the same results.
Useful would include word processing, spreadsheet, lite database, games,
programming software. Maybe accounting, but I would not want to put
critical applications on it.
