How are you transferring the image to the ZIP? With
Linux, I can dd an image created with E11 to the ZIP, and it boots fine with a CQD.
*sigh* This was a PEBKAC problem. Turns out Linux had
a different idea of what /dev/sdb was than I did; I realized
something was amiss when I was getting 12 MB/s transfer
rates (absurdly high for a Zip 100). Seems Linux will
happily accept data when you don't have a disk in the
drive (which I didn't realize somehow).
Anyway, now that I've written my image to something other
than the bit bucket, I have RSX booting happily from the
Zip disk. Sorry for the noise; next time I'll try sleeping on
the problem first. :-)
