Very nice keyboards. I wish someone made an adaptor to
connect such
keyboards to a PC.
Not to hijack my own thread, but are you certain no one does? Then again, I can't
imagine one of these monsters would be any better for PC use than a regular PC-type Model
M + PS/2 to USB converter. My 1984 Model M is my daily driver at work.
As for the 3471 setup mode, there is a dedicated "SetUp" key in the bottom left
of the keyboard. No combination of Alt or Shift plus the SetUp key takes me into any
menus, though the article on the Argecy site suggests this terminal ought to have a
menu-driven setup mode. Holding down any key while turning the terminal on puts it into
keyboard test mode, but doesn't do anything from there other than test the keyboard.
I suppose I don't really need to change any settings, since it works just fine with my
3174, but I still like to poke through everything...
