Tht explains a lot. My Diamonte uses that engine and everytime the
mechanics work on the engine they want to change the water pump.
Most engines I've seen with belts have an idler / tensioner pulley that
can be slackened to change the belt though. Having said that a water
pump I believe is normally rated for around 60k miles or so, i.e. around
twice the belt change interval.
