Tantalum capacitors are always polarity sensitive due to their
construction. If the board isn't marked, I doubt the parts are tantalum
because a reverse polarity tantalum will burn up (literally, they catch
fire) in short order. It is quite likely the parts on the board are
actually dipped ceramics, but a photo would probably confirm this.
