Subject: ID this vax board, please.
Hi all,
Hi,
The image is only 38K, blurry sorry because of lousy
Canon
scanner (not mine it's at work).
Yes. It's lousy';-))
I hope anyone could ID it. That
board was pulled from pizzabox type case with only drive is SCSI HD
This pizzabox is/was a VaxStation 4000/vlc
and from ICMASTER book the video VRAM is 1MB total
Should be 2 MByte total, because the option should have a resolution of
1280x1024x8
with D/A chip for audio.
You got it right, that's th graphics/audio option for the 4000/vlc
To be completely sure, check the PCB near the VRAMs. You should see some of
the famous DEC product numnbers like 5420772 or 50-20771 ...
I do have 3 boards of these.
Lucky ;-)) I you want to get rid of one of these ...
I have a vlc here with a broken video card :-((
Would be fun if I can use it with spare HD and ram,
etc...
You can use it in the 4000/vlc. Running VMS or NetBSD ;-))
if anyone knows where to find docs for this board for
info.
Try
digital.com But there was only a three page description of the box,
somewhere in obsolete/historical stuff ...
cheers,
emanuel
