Salto is quite old at this point. A lot of bugs were squashed when the
code was ported into MAME.
There is still a problem with the cursor, hopefully Josh can provide some
pointers on how to fix that
based on the work that he did developing his own simulator.
I'd be happy to lend assistance. I wasn't even aware that Salto had been
merged into MAME until Al mentioned it to me a couple of months back.
