I dunno about that. Having spent most of the 80s
doing lots of ham
radio, I knew dozens of hams in the NJ/PA area, and (nature of the
beast) several in far-away places. I never knew a single one who had
a Teletype. Not one.
Oh well. Maybe my group has just been lucky. We have a pallet full of
parts machines. Lately they've been showing up on our doorstep almost
as often as C-64s.
