I've actually seen some solutions offered that submerged the blades
in an inert liquid, similar to what some of the old Crays did. I've
seen some overclockers do the same with e.g. mineral oil, but most
cheaply-available non-conductive liquids don't have nearly the
thermal capacity of water. Still generally better than air, though.
