I have one still: it's the 1520 color plotter. It uses pen movement for the X
axis and paper movement for the Y axis to achieve a .2 mm resolution. Not bad.
Now if I could only find some pens...

Ever see the 'Plotter' they had? The paper was a roll like is used in cash
registers, and it had 4 miniature ball point pens. Now that was a lame
printer.
