Way back when (starting in 1964) we had them connected to SDS910 computers.
I've also seen one connected to a rather weird 23-bit word length computer;
in fact I think I still have a non-operational one from one of those systems
in the back of my garage somewhere. I occasionally think about reviving it,
but then better sense prevails. :) ISTR they were called I/O Selectrics
but ICBW.
