Sure--I know of several embroidery outfits that
started with paper tape,
substituted a floppy box that emulated paper tape and now have changed
out the floppy, but kept the emulator box, replacing the drive with a
floppy emulator, running from flash of some variety.
Does not player piano rolls come from a Apple II set up?
