That's no surprise. That's an old 4-wire leased-line modem. You'd need
another 201 at the opposite end of a four-wire data circuit for it to be
useful. It will only handle synchronous data.
Anyone ever worked with one of these?
Frequently, in my datacomm days (many moons ago).
