I would guess it's ARM-core based stuff these days. I read somewhere
that a
billion ARMs end up in cell phones alone, every year.
I'm sure ARM is huge, but I'll bet there are still more 8051s. They
were shipping in FAR FAR greater volumes than anything else a couple
of years ago, and had been for well over a decade running. I doubt it
could change that quickly just because of high-end cell phones.
