It seems to be common across widely disparate creative endeavours. I'm
not a bit surprised it manifests in programming too.
But, like you, I hadn't quite made the connection as clearly, nor
phrased it as elegantly....
If I can't help trying bizarre and crazy solutions to problems...what does
that make me? ;)
