Looking forward, is there *any* reason that someone would want
removable storage? Consider that even today, a computer will have
little use if it's not networked.
I used to send a *lot* of floppies out via traditional mail. Now,
the only time I do this is when a customer requests his original
media returned. Most don't even want a CD-R or DVD-R with their
data, being content to get it via email or ftp.
Removable media, be it SD card, flash drive, floppy or CD-ROM is
expensive when compared to non-removable media, which can take
advantage of being integrated into an overall design.
Best regards,
Chuck
