That's what I did. I cut off one end of the SCSI cable and crimped on a
34-pin IDC connector (this took some skill). I also had to cut off the
key on the SCSI connector so that it would fit in the normally keyless
50-pin connector on the drive enclosure. If you're connecting directly to
the drive itself then you'll probably need an edge connector.
