True!
Particularly since, in those days, the docs probably had schematics.
But, I've never seen the docs for this.
At one point, I had three of these - don't know where the other two are.
I think that this one was probably the one that I used with a TRS80 model
1 35 years ago ("The Source", etc.)
and now that I'm looking, mine is an A model...
take $25 for it?
So far, I have tentative offers of $75, $50, $100, and $25
Can anybody tell us definitively, what the model differences are?
I heard that the model C can do both originate AND answer! Wow!
Apparently, the difference between the Model A and Model B is the presence
of the two lights on the front.
Please note, these do NOT implement "Hayes Compatability" with all of that
ATDT stuff. These require making the connection with the telephone before
putting the handset in the cups.
They are NOT V.92
They don't do PPP well.
Most cellphones won't fit the cups.
Many extremely modern computers might require a DE-9 to DB-25 adapter.
No apparent USB port, and I kinda doubt that it has blooteeth or Wifi.
The foam rubber in the inside of the lid of mine is quite ragged. The
foam rubber needs more than a little Ubik.
The wood is chipped on the end panel at the rim. Worse than on:
